With the University of Groningen, GCA has developed a course on developing strategies for adaptation transformations. It covers relevant climate science, the societal effects of climate change, and responses already available in the form of climate adaptation. The course covers how to develop the global governance architecture for dealing with climate change. By exploring questions such as the costs and benefits of climate adaptation versus mitigation, the course identifies governance and social science theories that can help practitioners tackle environmental change and examines the role that international climate finance can play.
More informationThe Climate-Resilient Infrastructure Officer program provides Public-Private Partnership (PPP) practitioners with the definitive credential for developing and financing climate-resilient PPPs. PPPs are a crucial entry point to integrate climate adaptation and resilience into infrastructure projects. Governments increasingly turn to PPPs to finance infrastructure and bridge a $15 trillion investment gap by 2040. Yet, while there is a substantial body of knowledge on guidance for PPPs and literature on climate risks, resilience, and infrastructure, countries lack information on bringing those two fields together.
