Prof. Dr. Patrick Verkooijen, GCA CEO, visited Mongla, a secondary port city in Bangladesh, where GCA and BRAC are piloting locally led urban planning approaches to accelerate and scale up the creation of climate-resilient, migrant-friendly towns across Bangladesh. With support from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, GCA and BRAC are working alongside the urban poor in Mongla to turn their journey of loss into an opportunity and to build resilience in the face of climate adversity.
