With mini cyclone shelters, families no longer need to travel long distances or leave behind belongings or livestock. Safety and security issues are minimized because mini shelters house a maximum of 50 people, and everyone knows each other. It is much easier to find sites for mini shelters, which can be built much more quickly, and are also more cost-effective.
